My dog Zarah had to have operation. They save her. All the staff are kind and caring. I have to say it excellent .

Disappointed! Been taking our dog there for years. She was limping a little from slipping on the ice. Just wanted to get some ibuprofen caz I used the last pill I had from a previous script. Called, said they would call me the next day. I guess they meant the day after that on Friday at 4pm! In the meantime my dogs leg got better, but it sure would have been nice to find it in there heart to allow me to buy a couple ibuprofen to help my dog thru it! I explained to the gal that if it got worse I would take her in! I didn't want to make it worse by taking her in there either! It wasn't like I was asking for a narcotic or anything! So sad! I was denied my script! Boy that pet ibuprofen must be some powerful stuff!

Just moved to town and had an emergency with my 16 year old cat late in the evening. Dr. Jill called me back even though it was after hours, talked me through what was happening (stroke) and how to monitor my cat's symptoms until he could be seen in the morning. Everyone I dealt with in the office was a total pro, very sympathetic to what was going on with my cat and informative as well as kind. We never had vet services this good during our nine years in Sacramento. Glad we moved to Alpena and glad we found Sunrise Vet. They have our business for life!

Very reapectful of whats happening in the special room

I will say the staff was friendly and service was good, however I found it to be expensive. I was given an estimate for a small procedure. I had 2 cyst removed under local. The estimate was $315. That would be with sedation and $100 less for just local. I paid $39 for the visit which was included in the estimate. So the price should have been $215 minus the $39 and an extra $12 for the pain med. The next day the procedure was done and the bill was $215. There was a $12 charge for the pain med which was fine, however I was then charged $25 for someone to hold my dog during the 20 min procedure. I found this absurd. I realize $25 dosen't sound like much, but being on a fixed income it is. With incomes low in our community and as a senior I was not happy. I will try another vet next time. But like I said the care was fine. I just hope Sunrise would look at their pricing and somehow adjust it to our community.
