It is my favorite price too - FREE!
Loved this museum. They have a life sized boat that my boys loved playing on. Interesting artifacts from shipwrecks and they even have an app that you can download and use to tour the museum. And it is free (they do accept donations). Would definitely recommend!
My family and I really enjoyed it. This is a clean, fresh, modern museum with activities for kids and adults.
Great place for kids --pretty much everything is hands-on, plenty of places to play and also learn. Lots of great artifacts. Interesting for adults, too.
This museum uses pictures, models, and artifacts to trace travel and commerce on the great lakes from native American canoes to modern super freighters. It also has pictures and stories of some of the hundreds of shipwrecks that occurred. There is a reproduction of a ship that you can "board" and experience what it might be like to be on board during a storm. Admission is free. Support is from NOAA and donations. Well worth the time.
The Halloween event was above and beyond anything we expected. We haven't attended in years...we will definitely be back. Great job and I am super impressed at the fleet of volunteers you had to help make it all possible. What a great way to get families interested in the sanctuary. Wonderful job and thank you for this amazing community event.
